BMFA Centenary World Record

The British Model Flying Association is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. And what's the best way to celebrate: setting a new world record - the highest number of the flying models at a time.

There's no final result yet, the numbers are still arriving to the BMFA HQ, but it is absolutely sure there were a crazy number of models flying at 12PM on 15th May, 2022 (BST). The models were fixed wings, drones and - of course - helicopters as well. The comments under the BMFA official post well demonstrate it.

There were parts of the UK where the weather did not want to cooperate, although members across the country have done everything they could, even in the rain they were flying at the time appointed by the organisation - like the Team of FlyinFish in London.

No doubt, this celebration is a huge success and shows that the effort of the organisers and all participants paid off.

More to come after the final numbers will be announced.
