Surprises from Goosky at the UAV Expo

The Shenzhen International UAV Expo is drawing to a close, marking the end of one of the world’s most significant UAV exhibitions — if not the most significant outright. This year brought a notable first: Goosky appeared among the exhibitors. On its own this wouldn’t necessarily be headline news for us, but the company showcased products that had not been revealed to the RC heli community before.

Naturally, the familiar models were present — the brand new F701 FBL system, the RS and S series, and the E2, including its latest white‑blue colour scheme. But Goosky also made it clear that they are stepping further into the UAV sector, presenting a range of surveillance‑focused solutions built on both multicopter platforms and conventional helicopter designs.

More intriguingly, there is now clear evidence that a much larger version of the E2 scale helicopter is on the way: the E7, a more detailed and far more robust Huey Venom interpretation. It certainly looks promising, and it’s a model we will be watching closely.

The expanding UAV product line may raise questions. Is the company preparing to shift towards the UAV market at the expense of the RC heli hobby, or is this simply a broader diversification?

Personally, I wouldn’t be concerned at this stage. Goosky’s current models remain popular enough to secure the brand’s position within the RC heli community. The signs also point in the opposite direction: more team pilots, more hobby‑focused products, and the freshly debuted FBL system all suggest that Goosky has no intention of stepping away from the RC heli world. It would be illogical to assume a strategic shift based on the current evidence.
