Live-hobby stops delivering to many EU countries
No end user orders served by the company
19 EU member states on the list of the countries where delivery from Live-hobby.de is no longer available to end users. Only retailers can continue ordering from the German shop. As it is whispered this is due to the VAT changes from 1 July in the European Union.
The list is quietly appeared on the company website at the Shipping and Payment:
Bulgaria
Denmark
Estonia
Finland
Greece
Croatia
Latvia
Lithuania
Luxembourg
Malta
Poland
Portugal
Romania
Sweden
Slovakia
Slovenia
Czech republic
Hungary
Cyprus
The company accepts delivery orders from Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Ireland, Switzerland and Austria, of course as well as in Germany. But former customers from another countries can face only one delivery option: LOCAL PICKUP. Interestingly the company remains an available supplier to the United Kingdom too - despite Brexit.
This decision affects badly the customers especially in the Eastern European region, where is no strong supply, therefore customers in these countries rely on foreign sources, like the very popular live-hobby.de.
No official announcement about the reasons, but it is assumed the new (and complicated) VAT rules entering into force on 1st July is the most obvious reason. It is expected, more retailers will end up in a similar situation and finally the cross-border delivery will vastly end.
Other German retailer (www.helicoach-shop.de) just insured us, they continue delivering to Hungary as per now and thy try their bests.
