SAB Goblin Kraken 580 is released
Dispatching begins today...

Today, 25 June is the date when the new SAB Goblin Kraken 580 is officially released - as it was planned before. Perhaps all dealers have received the ordered kits earlier, and they are starting to send the ordered kits out today. And the helicopter becomes available virtually later on this afternoon (European time) as well.

SAB Goblin Kraken 580 is released

The helicopter is the newest member of the SAB Goblin product line, the smaller version of the original SAB Goblin Kraken which was released a year ago. Main blades can be between 550 and 600 mm, and the helicopter supports the tail blades between 95 and 105 mm. Mini size servos required for the cyclic control and standard size servo for the tail control by default. Standard size cyclic servos can be used with another servo mounts which will be available separately, the mini size mount is included to the kit.

The helicopter can be used in 6 and 12 cell configuration as the most common solutions, further configurations may require few tweaks (different motor, pinion). The default gear ratio is 1:9.4:4.9 with the default 22T motor and 23T tail pulleys, but wide range of options available.

The kit price is $759 (excl tax) or €759 (incl. tax) at the European dealers, whilst it costs £659 in the United Kingdom. The first batch is mostly gone, next batch expected in mid July.

Many of the customers pre-ordering kits have got their tracking numbers earlier, which caused a smaller turbulence and misunderstanding, although it is a general process, when vendors process the deliveries in advance to make them quicker, and the first step is receiving a tracking number which is typically provided to the customer. Few customers understood so they can receive their kits before or on the date of release.

The helicopter comes in simulator this afternoon

AccuRC informed us, the new SAB Goblin Kraken 580 becomes available in the AccuRC simulator this afternoon, the most recent update, the version 2.0.13 will include this model in combination many other updates. As we reported, the model was released for the test users earlier, it becomes available for all AccuRC users towards the evening.
