Christmas shopping began already for many of us, but the rush will begin tomorrow "officially". We are closer to Christmas, streets and shops are getting chaotic. Let's see what to expect this year.
Black Friday is the Friday after thanksgiving in the United States since the 60's, later on it spreaded through the world and became known everywhere - and kept more or less. Its name explained by many urban legends but the most likely root of the story is the Police of Philadelphia which called this day Black in the press in 1969 after extremely high number of accidents on the roads caused by crazy rushing shoppers. There is one thing in common in all stories: the high number of the road accidents, but there are different cities mentioned. This is about the history, Wikipedia and other sources can tell more.

Many shops offer something, however this Black Friday thing seems more popular in US and America and even in Asia than in Europe.
Although this craziness arrived to Europe about 10-12 years ago, it seems now the trend has turned back and less and less shops are doing sudden sales on behalf of Black Friday. Even some big British grocery chains are not starting big sales tomorrow morning. So don't get surprised, when your store is not offering a sale tomorrow.
